
With the current expansions installed, the game still runs as smooth and fast as it would with only the base game installed. While Sims 3 still has some recurring crashes and unexpected bugs, Sims 4 has been receiving a lot of compliments on how well it runs on regular computers with little to no freezing, crashing or bugging. The community simply has come to the conclusion that in order to play all the Expansions, it was required to buy an expensive computer that could perform better. Electronic Arts showed little to no response against these claims making users doubt the company's involvement in the game. Sometimes there were even reports of crashes and bugs that were impossible to solve. Therefore, a lot of complaints arose on how slow the expansions ran on regular or old computers. There has been a lot of focus on game packs and stuff packs and this has alerted many simmers.Įxpansions are known to consume a lot of memory and require high performance of the user's computer. Many players have been looking forward to more expansions, especially since not a lot of expansions have been added in comparison to Sims 1, 2 and 3. Not all Expansions are created equal and what excites one player may be lackluster to another. New neighborhoods give us new places for our Sims to reside and explore. Many will give us new traits and Aspirations, as well as clothing and hair styles to help us customize our Sims. In general, new types of Buy Mode objects, Skills and Careers are to be expected.


When you launch the game make sure all ep/sp are checkmarked on in the launcher that you want to play.

With this addition there is patch 1.69 for those using the Origin or download version of Sims 3. Click that to show download and install the expansions/stuff packs.

To view, Right-click > Show Game Details and under the Play button there's an Extra Content tab. Sims 3 expansions are no longer separate game tiles in Origin client.
